- ZaTii - 02-06-2016 It's called PAE read on it you'll learn a lot, you can use up to 64gb of ram on 32bit linux's with this enabled i know that but still the memory for 1 Process ( which the compiling is) is still restricted to 4 gb. So the compiling still only use 4 gb instead of 10gb. - pwesty - 02-06-2016 i know that but still the memory for 1 Process ( which the compiling is) is still restricted to 4 gb. So the compiling still only use 4 gb instead of 10gb. kinda weird cuz it uses all my memory when i compile :/ - peter3301 - 02-06-2016 The problem is, if you use vmware like me is the limit at 8gb for 32bit or 64gb for 64bit. -> 2 I think the best way for fast compiling is a really fast ssd, but this is only my opinion. - Assasin - 02-08-2016 @peter3301 Compile client this system? - pwesty - 02-08-2016 The problem is, if you use vmware like me is the limit at 8gb for 32bit or 64gb for 64bit. -> 2 I think the best way for fast compiling is a really fast ssd, but this is only my opinion. i have a hybrid HDD and an SSD isn't much of a difference for me on vmware - peter3301 - 02-08-2016 @peter3301 Compile client this system?
