Updating the Client:
In the folder patches, create a file called version.txt, Write the client version in there.
version.txt:
1279
To add patches:
Create a Zip file with the name of the version, For example if you have 1285 into version.txt, and 1279 in the vtm.brn, the value in the vtm.brn will increment by 1, each time it downloads a patch, till it reaches the value in the version.txt(first will look for 1280.zip, then 1281.zip, 1282.zip, 1283.zip, 1284.zip,and lastly 1285.zip)
idk that there was a version.txt xD it would have made my launcher a bit easyer to code but ya now i check by start how many files there exist ^^

OMG where i fail?
I follow the tutorial letter for letter but when i upload some updates in zip format (like 1280.zip) the launcher start and say me update completed.. without download new updates :/

Plus you can use the IP tool to see the version.

What happens to you is that the version of the VTM and version.txt not match.
Or it may be that if youve uploaded to a host as you have uploaded as follows: version.txt.txt
Ami so I step if it is not so version.txt not finding the version opens and closes instantly.
