Sorry but what do want with XAMP????

Not on Linux....

About the mysql max Packed you have to edit the /etc/my.cnf

so that the File looks similar to this

[mysqld]

user=mysql
max_allowed_packet=100M
datadir=/var/lib/mysql
socket=/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock
[mysqld_safe]
log-error=/var/log/mysqld.log
pid-file=/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.pid
# Disabling symbolic-links is recommended to prevent assorted security risks
symbolic-links=0

[mysqld]
# Settings user and group are ignored when systemd is used (fedora >= 15).
# If you need to run mysqld under different user or group,
# customize your systemd unit file for mysqld according to the
# instructions in http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Systemd
user=mysql
max_allowed_packet=100M

When you have put the my.ini in the bin folder of mysql, u need to restart the MySQL on XAMPP

We are talking here about LINUX and not Windows !!!!

In Linux there is no Folder Xamp.

You have to modified the Mysql Conf-file that is in /etc/my.cnf
