With EP2 leak the demand for ep1 isn't what it once was and now i'm going to tell you how I got this working.
First you need to make a note of your LAN IP goto your Network Connections
On the network that is your main connection named 'Local Area Connection' or 'Wireless Network Connection' right click on it an click on 'status' then 'Details..' and under IPv4 Default Gateway will list your LAN IP (for this guide we will say its 192.168.1.30
So we now have our LAN IP />
Next you want to edit all the server IPs to 127.0.0.1 (messenger/helper/connector/login) but leave the gameserver but be sure to set the gameserver config ips for the other server exes to 127.0.0.1 so everything apart from the gameserver IP should be change to 127.0.0.1 where ever needed in all config files.
Now set the gameserver IP to 192.168.1.30 (your LAN IP)
Now its time to start the server so lets fire it up an wait until everything is loaded fully and the gameserver has fully loaded an running.
Now you will need a copy of Cheat Engine so off you go an get that installed if you dont have it already!
Once thats done run it an open the connector process now you want to search for 192.168.1.30 it will list about 5 to 8 of them (do a couple of next searches to lessen the list)
The plan is to change this IP to your internet IP but there is only one way this will work so carry on reading ^^
IPs work like this 000.000.000.000 this is the max size of an IP lan or wan (wan is internet ip) 15 characters MAX but when you try to edit an IP you will need to put a space for the missing numbers cos in most cases an IP wont always use the full 15 characters so lets say my internet IP is 123.5.43.56 this is only using 11 of the 15 so i would need to add 4 spaces to the end of the IP as I enter it into cheat engine "123.5.43.56 "
When you set this sometimes cheat engine will auto change it back to 127.0.0.1 in this case its not the right address so move to the next an repeat this over an over until you have a couple of IPs that have not change back.
Now try an connect to your server! It takes some getting use to but once you have done it a couple of times you can have it done from start to finish in 2min!
If you login get your friend to try but making sure your ports are open, it should work as it works for me fine.
There is one catch to this which is you would need to carry this task out whenever the server restarts or crashes.. You can make a stable ep1 an if you can this would work out well for you.
I will not support this guide it works I know it works you just need to learn from this guide.

Good post max but you don't really need to do all this to setup up a server from your home connection Just use no-ip and make a host with them this is how i ran my first ep1 server No-ip is free to use here is the site 2

CE doesn't find my ipv4 on connector and i added the ip but not write in the guide , and doesn't work anyway
