This is my first real tool for LC, and has only 7 hours of work behind it so it's still a Beta version. It seems to be working perfectly for the little testing I gave it but I want to have community feedback before I continue. In future versions (If this program is popular enough) I want it to generate a Mysql code to edit t_magic, t_magiclevel, t_skill and t_skilllevel, instead of just t_skilllevel. For now it only works with t_skilllevel because I have had problems with Wizateks skill editor release updating my t_skilllevel DB table. It has loads of features and I hope to make even more if I can think of anything else, and I am open to requests. Partial source code for this program (functional code, not visual) may be made available to those major contributors on LCKB upon request, in hopes that those with knowledge beyond my own can teach me better ways of constructing tools in the future.

To those of you who do not understand a thing about what my tool does, I will not teach you, so don't ask. There are plenty of other places on this forum where you can learn the beginner stuff.I learned everything I know about LC from this place.

IMPORTANT NOTES

Remember to back-up your database before attempting to use my software.

You must delete the rows of your database before you add them with my program. (It can't UPDATE yet, only INSERT). Hopefully I will be able to figure out how to make my program read from the mySQL so I can add UPDATE functionality, but I have no idea how to do that in vb.net yet.

look nice but i think is better to wiza add sql export in he editor or just give the sourcer code to you and you can add these things^^

I figured it was nice enough for him to release it in the first place, I wasn't much for bothering him to fix any flaws I know this forum is not about just asking for handouts, people should show some effort. Besides, I thought I could use some practice and I liked the idea of having my own releases

The next thing I think I will do is make a rapid automated tool add-on, one that will make using Wizateks skill editor very very fast. I've done it with his Itemall Editor 4, I edited the atk/def price and level of hundreds of items in only minutes, and I plan to do something like that for his skill editor. Thats what I really specialize in, not making standalone tools, but making tool add-ons.

If you are looking to insert or update automatically u can always put instead of INSERT INTO, put REPLACE INTO.

This will let the mysql server check if the record doesnt exist yet in the database.

If it exists it will overwrite the record, if it doesn't exist it will add the record.

good job, nice

Thanks wizatek I will work that into my program immediately.

Sorry for the double post but I cant find out how to edit posts:

My latest version (3) has loads of bug fixes including the new EDIT LEVELS FAST booster, I was able to add skill levels into both client and server at a rate of roughly 135,000 table entries in only 6 hours. My skill.bin went from 800kb to 1.4kb! even bigger than ep2 skill.bin lol. I am still working out a few very minor kinks, but I might release a full version here when im done, it all depends.

Here is the third version of my Skill SQL Generator, it has a bunch of new features, and maybe a few new bugs :/

Again it works with wizateks editor, but this version has a special new function: The Edit Levels Fast Booster. I also improved the SQL generator function and built in a kind of skill database that loads skill info real-time as you select a skill ID

My SQL generator is explained in this video, instead of a big hunk of text like my last release Smile

I provide full support for my release, but as I said in my last release I wont teach you the basics like what MySQL is and where to get wizateks editor, etc, so no ultra-nooby questions Smile
