Hello guys, i will show you now how to make an nice setup.exe to compressed your client and can be installed it really easy, without having knowledge of any language programing etc..
Tool that you will need download it 2
We will work with an tool called Smart Install Maker you can download it from where you want if you dont trust on my download link.
the one i posted have the key.
lets start!!
First of all download and install the tool ofc..
open it and you will see this screen:
Change the Product name, version company,website url,mail support, save as put where u want save it, dont change compression ratio and type.
Now click on Files and click on add a fordel with files:
Dont change nothing on it just click on OK
you will see this screen:
next step go to requirements since i dont change nothing on it i leave it same as it originally but is your choice.
go to Dialogs in general leave it like it show so go to License/Information click on the check box and select an text file with end-user license agreement, thats nice if you put the condition you want to play in your server.
Ok we have almost done now click on Interface where we will make the look of our installer.
You can use background image to make the installation more nice or just make it installer only.
i prefer make it with background like a boss so click on background tab and check Image box them select the image files, you can select the style that u want show the background image if as title, stretch etc.. ill leave it stretch:
Now click on Header tab modified it by urself with the header u want, click on logo and put the logo you want, click On languages to select the languages you want to the installer and click on icon to select the icon you want, if youre bad with photoshop to make ur self icon go to: 2 and download one from it.
Now the last step click go to Shortcuts where we will make the patch for the shortcut etc..
Click on Add, Shortcut name put the name of the shortcut Example: YouLC Server Name
In file selected the LC.exe
in icon selected LC.ico
them click on ok:
So now we have the installer finished just need review it to see if it look nice but first save the project in-case you wanna make it again with your client fully update etc..
when you finish it just need click on Run Installer to make the installer file, the setup.exe file will apear in your desktop if you save it in your desktop
it take some time so be patient thats all guys! oh let me show you how look my installer.
U can make it better but im to lazy since >.<
