Good day everybody.
can someone help me with this problem.
I've already felt the entire google search.
however, my cash server does not start.
I have installed mariadb 10.1
Centos 7
Client does not support authentication protocol requested by server; consider upgrading MariaDB

Unfortunately I don't get a log from CashServer
only this message when starting.
I tried the X64 CashServer but then no cash is deducted when buying.
I don't know whether it's the connector or the cash server

Execute the following query in MYSQL Workbench
ALTER USER 'root'@'localhost' IDENTIFIED WITH mysql_native_password BY 'password';
Where root as your user localhost as your URL and password as your password
Then run this query to refresh privileges:
flush privileges;
Try connecting using node after you do so.
If that doesn't work, try it without @'localhost' part.

I use the 2015 CashServer.
Haven't found another one yet.
Except for the X64 and one where you need mono server. But I can't get this one to run.
ALTER USER 'root'@'localhost' IDENTIFIED WITH mysql_native_password BY 'password';
I have already tried this and many others where google has spat out like this.
It's something to despair about.

I'm litteraly having the same issue... Cash Server won't start because of this. And when i'm following your step /index.php?/profile/14423-nicolasg/&do=hovercard" data-mentionid="14423" href="/index.php?/profile/14423-nicolasg/" rel="">@nicolasg then i am not able to use my tools then lol

Create a new user only for cashserver. Apply the alterations i mentioned above for that new user and everything should be fine

Alright, so i've created the new user only for cashserver, but when applying the alteration it says there is an error in sql syntax.

btw i use something like this
$ mysql -u root -p
$ GRANT ALL ON *.* TO 'cashserver'@'localhost' IDENTIFIED BY 'iddqd' WITH GRANT OPTION;
$ SET PASSWORD FOR 'cashserver'@'localhost' = OLD_PASSWORD('iddqd');
$ FLUSH PRIVILEGES;
if i remember fine...
