- kekols767 - 04-28-2022 Hello guys ! I cant understand , which CentOS version will be better for EP4 server ? And , why guys choosing 32bit version , and after this compile it to 64 ? - Lythenica - 04-28-2022 Hello, It really doens't matter which Version of CentOS you are using if you have the right libs installed. I personally use CentOS 6.10 64bit for compiling the Server with all libs installed for it to function and CentOS 7 64bit to run the Server. Most people I know use 32bit only for compiling the Server cause it makes things easier because the Server source is 32bit and uses the 32bit libs. If you use 64bit it will try to install the 64bit libs on your system and you could miss some during setup for Server compile and run. But in fact if you set it up with some brain it really doesn't matter which one you use both work just fine. - kekols767 - 04-28-2022 /index.php?/profile/16169-lythenica/&do=hovercard" data-mentionid="16169" href="/index.php?/profile/16169-lythenica/" rel="">@Lythenica thx for answer , i`ll try to setup server as well . I tried it in 2012 on ep2 , now want try ep4 . Also want to setup anti-cheat , will the version matter for this ? - Lythenica - 04-28-2022 /index.php?/profile/22005-kekols767/&do=hovercard" data-mentionid="22005" href="/index.php?/profile/22005-kekols767/" rel="">@kekols767 you can use any version of LC Server files to Compile it or run it on CentOS 64 or 32bit it doesn't matter. You just have to make sure your System has all Libs needed installed so the Server can find them. You can run from 2007 Servers up to Nov. Sources on these Systems it works fine once configured. - kekols767 - 04-28-2022 @Lythenica So , CentOS version, and compiled or not compiled files doesent matter ? Only libs matter ? - rondo157 - 04-29-2022 For experiment I installed lc at Centos 8 x64 - work correctly. - Scura - 04-29-2022 2 hours ago, rondo157 said: For experiment I installed lc at Centos 8 x64 - work correctly. What do you mean with "Also want to setup anti-cheat , will the version matter for this ?" - Lythenica - 04-29-2022 /index.php?/profile/21802-scura/&do=hovercard" data-mentionid="21802" href="/index.php?/profile/21802-scura/" rel="">@Scura no there is absolutly no issue when using the right libs it works with CentOS 8. Even every Linux Dist. is working which is based on RHEL (which CentOS is) to get LC to work even compiling the Server. So I meant what I wrote you can use any Version until now to run/compile LC. Anticheat is manly Serverside so he has to come up with a sulution and make sure it works with the System he chooses in case of Last Chaos it musst have RHEL support when it's not a Server based Anticheat also coded into the Server but that's not as important to get the Server running. Anticheat can be added later on. |
