Hello,

is it possible to decrease the size of a world after it was created? I have a map of the size of Dratan (3072x3072), but I only need a quarter of it. Of course I could add barriers to limit the playground, but using a smaller map would be the better solution.

Ty for ur replies and have a nice day ?

This depends on several things, have you already placed objects? Are you cutting off the out edges equally? etc.

There's theoretical ways I can think of to achieve this, but it would basically be impossible for a map that has objects on it already. Changing the map size also effects the height maps, so things would become more compressed.

You can avoid the height map issue by manually editing an exported heightmap, but it doesnt solve the placed object problem.

tldr; yes but its not worth it imo

I have placed objects in the north western quarter of the map and was hoping to be able to cut off the other 3 quarters. But if it‘s not worth it, I‘ll probably just place barriers/mountains around the used area and keep the rest of the map for later expansions.

thanks for your help ?
