Check the configs and test other server files, maybe check what the character do before he make the close.

Yeah ddos is possible that disconnect players too

Your website & serverfiles running on the same root ? 

I recommend 2 servers one for website one for root.

For real anti ddos you need hardware anti ddos and proxy reserve

probably he botnet your server , he crash the port of one gameserver
