C++/.MFC came easier to me than C# ...odd haha Google is your friend but learn the basics instead of jumping to the top. Just learn a little before you jump into "fixing" these tools
c++ syntax is better but c# is easier haha

it's every the same only open/save/handle values with binary so it's possible with all mainstream language's ^^
learn one language that you want (java, c++, c#, php, ...) and you are able to write your own tools
