Alright, so since now does file have been released for all to use "if manage to"
Seems that the tools have also been released? in "Sources?"
I don't know much (nothing actually) about making/fixing tools...
But its strange that, the sources have been released but tools have not been put together? is it easier to just have them as source? but how do u you go about working with them?
How do we go about putting them together to make it work? Compile them?
What program(s) would i need to make it into a working tool.
Any guide out there to sort of give an idea on how to make a tool?

U need Visual Studio to open the Project File of the Tool and then just Compile it, i didnt touched the Tools but it should be very easy to compile them.
Open it with Visual Studio and Press F5 or Right-Click on Solution Explorer and click on Build

The server works with 2010. With 2013 you need maybe some adjustments.
Prof/Ultimate Version is always better then Express.
But if you need to ask this you should better use the compiled binaries from this forum. It is really tricky to compile for a beginner.

You can't use express with the tools, because it won't let you install MFC which is needed for the tools. So you need 2013 ultimate or 2010 pro+

You need a part of the client source to compile the lod exporter anyway.
None of the tools create lod files, only the lod exporter

If you are using Windows 8.1 you could also use Microsoft Visual Studio Community 2013 (free to download).
This version got MFC/ATL included.
About the tools I'm currently working on client/database tools to improve my language skills in C# and C++ so it's about rewriting them in my case.
I'm using the database and the ExportLod as reference even if some structs are missing in the exporter source you can remake them with the information available in the tool source and database.
