OK, this is how the diesel horse works n mine. Drop item 1707 ( i think thats the right one) Do the quest, when you get to Jajan he will give you the pet it will not look like it is in your inv. Check an empty space, it is there just eq it and there it is!!!

OK, This is what I found about the horse and drake pet. Last night I just tried again, I really like having a pony follow me....dont ask its a girl thing...ANYWAY, so I dropped a flute, got the quest, went to Lorrainne, went to archeaologist, he gives it to me. I checked my inventory and there it was. The only difference, I was lvl 160!!!! Tried it again, made myself lvl 20, no pet, tried it again, made myself lvl 124, got drake. So, you have to be over 100 to do the pet quest. Now, since you technically cant do it over 99, there is just something wrong in the database. Oh, also, the drakes are named Bears. i think its cute. :-)

The diesel horse is there, it just is "invisible" in your inventory. Check an empty space in your inventory and it will say it is there, equip it and you have it.

Also, about the drake and horse. They level weird, you will see what I mean, sometimes they get 0 exp then all of a sudden they will get 200, then nothing again. And, it will look like you cant train their skills BUT if you go to the trainer the skills will show up. I am a little excited because after months of just reading these forums I feel like I can finally be of some help! :-)
