Hello all,
I decided to post guide cuz many of ppl not knows about it
FIX BAD_CONNECTION & FIX Login Server Problem
1. Open Terminal
2. Type: SU
3. Write: service iptables stop
4. Open Terminal
5. Type: vi /etc/sysconfig/iptables
6. Add:
-A RH-Firewall-1-INPUT -m state --state NEW -m tcp -p tcp --dport 4001 -j ACCEPT
-A RH-Firewall-1-INPUT -m state --state NEW -m tcp -p tcp --dport 4101 -j ACCEPT
Save & Exit
FIX BAD_CONNECTION & FIX Login Server Problem (method 2)
1. Swich user
Username: root
Password: same for user
2. Go in Computer/etc/sysconfig/iptables
3. Open with Gedit
4. Add:
-A RH-Firewall-1-INPUT -m state --state NEW -m tcp -p tcp --dport 4001 -j ACCEPT
-A RH-Firewall-1-INPUT -m state --state NEW -m tcp -p tcp --dport 4101 -j ACCEPT
5. Open Terminal
6. Write: service iptables stop
CREDITS: MaX, LUO, ME (METHOD 2, but took from MaX`s ide so can give credits max to MaX )
Why would the solution be to close down your only form of security? Sounds dumb and it didn't work.
I am currently using CSF and it is working fine the ports are opened when the gameserver and loginserver is launched so this shouldn't be an issue regarding connection, all processes are linked correctly as well, I have tried creating a registration script using the password encoding it gives the same result as Wizateks php page and the hash generator so again it isn't password related either.
I had this working on Ubuntu earlier and I didn't get this error until I switched to CentOS I am new to CentOS I know my linux distro's so it won't take too long to get comfortable but again.... it's becoming annoying.
I'm lost for ideas now lol
