Nice guide, tho you guys are some really sloppy coders . Also don't forget that in order to use any of the PDO syntax you must need to enable the extention in your web server configuration. In most cases it may already be enabled, tho in which cases its not.

 

Open php.ini in your main PHP directory. Press CTRL + F and paste in.

Dynamic Extensions

And un-comment these lines.

extension=php_pdo.dll
extension=php_pdo_mysql.dll

 

Then save and restart Apache.
