it is hard to describe what it is but here is an example when it only updates when it is saying it

example:

my client version is 1313 and i change the client version to 1314 and after that i change version.txt to 1315 then i create a patch that is 1315 and then it will update have any idea how it can update normal

 

i am using client by tiago

 

or i can use teamviewer for help
