The only servers that will be using a system like this will be official rate servers, in which player merchant will be sufficient for distributing items as the server will have a real economy. The reason it wouldn't work even on current EP1 servers is because there is exactly next to no market. You buy all of your items from a NPC or the item mall. Tho if you wanted one badly like stated above, doing one in PHP will be only a two day job, compared to the several weeks of reversing the gameserver and client (for a function barely anyone will use).
I agree and i understand your point, even tho, we all know that most ep1 have the same kind of shops and npcs, with mostly the same kind of items: armors, weapons, costumes, cash items,etc. In my case, i wanted to add Roy, for example, to take out most of this npc/shops and make it DIFFERENT and more kindly playable as a official LC is, althought, it gives another kind of playing, that in this case, would be a mix between a private server and the official one, referring to Market Program. So, for now i will try to start it a bit and see if i can make it work properly, i will start with roy, because im pretty sure that if i can make Roy work, Siban is kind the same, as they both have the same utillity. The only hard of this, is reversering the gameserver and client, including errors that may appear...i hope not
