Hello Mr, if you have problems with a (possibly) MySQL attack you can bind your mysql server to 127.0.0.1
I know, in this way you cannot be able to connect via navicat, but just use a bit of brain, you can simply use a web tool like phpmyadmin and secure the access using .htaccess

bind-address = 127.0.0.1
