Is it offical emulation is dead?

I want the perspective of the community with the exception of HateMe and his emulator.

I believe it is fair to say the idea of emulation has died, anyone who shares this idea I would like to hear what you have to say about it.

 

I mean once the ep2 files were released is when I thought emulation had died its a nice idea but really this game is so old now that even with server emulation the limits of the client are a little massive.

 

Anything you could add to a custom server would be limited by what the client allows.

 

This is just shooting the breeze giving me something to do but I hope people will share their opinions here.
