First working EP2 client is 1313(or 1315), which the packets that crash the server are the inventory packets and the creating a NS class.

 

Rewriting the client is alot of work actually.

Like i said a few post above, im really enjoying this... If im able to exceed myself the better...

Edit 1 : I have the 1315 from eg, ill get the ip out from the engine first and then ill take care of injection the PSniffer and check what the client sends and see if i can make a hook in GS... i still belive that a few injected dll should work XD

Can you post maybe a Download Link from the Client?

I was searching a Client a long time ago.

(With the first 777 Client i was able to log in, in ep1 server)

you can just download an very old client and update it step by step till you have the client you want.

 

And about a Hook to gameserver packets is not an bad idea with this could make the Ep2 CLient work if you know waht packets need get changet. I would be up to help with this just with the Hooking part i have problems the rest will be np for me

Ok, so yes, 1 man only cant get all this done!! Ill enjoy all your help. So what i got till now is that if we hook the ns packet to the game server we can make it... if only i could reverse the gameserver, i would make a dll with the ns, just to try out if the idea really works. As i think its the easieast one to make, cause we can copy from the mage for instance and change to the closest parameters even if its bugged in the first try...

You wanna use a Early EP2 Client and Hook our EP1 GameServer to make the EP2 Stuff work?

 

if that is your Idea its a very good idea i thought about that too , but im not very good in C++ (Only some basics) so hooking part is done for me xD

Ok, so yes, 1 man only cant get all this done!! Ill enjoy all your help. i would say to take first something more simple like the moon satue and yes im sure it works

I tryed the moonstatue first, but once i clicked on the moonstone, i get hanged and then error report... So i must be making something really wrong... i said about the ns cause you have others chars that you can copy!! And yes nikola, thats right, ill use the gameserver from ep1... thats simple as this... the ep1 server files doesnt have all the functions from the ep2, why? cause they came after... so, the idea is to code the functions in a dll and make the gameserver redirect to them, once the client asks for it... Ill continue to work on the ns and try to get an idea about the moonstatue problem... One question to the STAFF... should i post the code here or not? in case i show the code so i can get a little help?
