Let's Say that...EP2/EP3

Hello all, im halo and im very curious Let's say that i download an emulator, and i fix all bugs, just an example. I have it ready, so i can make it playable like any other server? or emulators can't be a real server?

Emulators are actually better then the original server if they are written right. In this case the public EP2 emulator has a terrible code base and is really only good for reference, or 1-3 players on hamachi. As for a full blown public server, you're going to need a much more powerful server source. And still will need to crunch the rest of the bugs that are internal (source code).

Yea, that's why they stopped working on it...Because the only EP2/EP3 server's that are on, really aren't pretty good at all, well taking out Destiny, but seems it isn't so good as before now.

None server can be as good as USA, just usa team don't really know what players want, thats why they leave.

Too many internal bugs? i never had to fix one but, seems pretty interesting

is like to say that ep1 who all got is better than ep1 original or am I wrong?

oh well, then emulators are good for test running, and those kind of things...

Hope someday someone releases the official files of some EP2/.EP3 like destiny, LC777 or LC EG...could be fine

It would be better if a group of people got together and rewrote the emulator. Then the official EP2 files will be crap compared to it, since it would be limited to whatever it supports.

yea, but there is not many that wants to keep rewroting the emulator. Eventhought, if we all help, we can make it

Yes you can, a emulator can and should be better then official files. My emulator is already proving better then official EP1 files. If someone took their time and carefully rewrote the EP2 emulator in a better language then C#. It could become better then the official EP2 server files. Why? Because every single exploit that exists on the official servers shouldn't be possible (EP2 had gold dupe). This is why there are emulators for tons of different games, because people wish to control their servers 100%. Plus updating them to support new content is a piece of cake.

okok but about ur ep1 emulato I think is not better than ep1 original files that atm no one have it on are not pubblic....(I mean eternia ep1 files for example)

I think the current files are more advanced than the ones from eternia ep1, remember that they didn't have dratan siege for example

In my opinion i think we all here work so hard that we prove that we got the knowlodge to make our own server, for example: I came here with NO A SINGLE IDEA about how to start a lc...few months later, i made my own lc, that now im working on it still, and now i help ppl and make some good post's for everyone, later on some releases^^ Eventhough we don't have yet some EP2 official files, we still have to thank's all that we have at least the EP1 files and we are pretty much better than many old lc's...We are growing Thats the point, so someday, we will get them, i mean the official files from any ep2 server Just wait...
