Configure Navicat

Pls help me configure navicat; l've got this problem :

First step make sur you have install mysql on terminal

 

step 2 make on terminal

 

[user@localhost ~]$ su

Password:

[root@localhost user]# service mysqld start

 

done

 

if it say ok you can connect to mysql wihtout error enjoy guys

Why?? (l use kubuntu)

after su, write password, it not shows pass but u must write !
