Hi there community, im looking to help people to host the game at home, but i need a tip before i post the complete post on how to.
Been awhile that im trying to configure a pc to host this game at home, and im still stuck at the same point. I need help from who knows how to change a couple things.
I tryed alot of things, i installed and tryed a few different distros, i flashed OpenWrt, i called my ISP, and alot more.
So, to begin, i made a few tests, i sucessefully helped a member of this community install and run these files in a dedi host, i myself did the same and it was sucessfull, but at home... thats a different thing. So at the moment i have a linux host with proxmox. I made an openvz container with centos and configured it with a static ip and installed the server. In my router i put the static ip in DMZ and open every single need port to that static ip, so the router is forwarding traffic to the container. Ok, now when inside my network i can enter the game, create char and play, but my friend outside my lan, connecting with my external ip can only access the loginserver, when selecting chanel the gameserver gets no connection. So, i went to dig a bit. If the loginserver gets connection, then the configuration is done corrrectly, after attempting alot of things i came to 1 conclusion.
The gameserver only listens class A ip. Even configuring to listen to every address i get no luck. So now, my knowledge comes to a stand. I kindly request help from an advanced user, to explain to me how i change the behavour of the gameserver. I was thinking to do something like the connector in EP1, that we could change the ip with CE,for instance. Lend me a hand guys, please. Ill post the tutorial, when i manage to make this work, cause i see no sense on posting a tutorial to something that doesnt work properly.
Cheers!!!

The problem is that the loginserver will send the ip of the gameserver to the client, it will send the ip the connector gets from the gameserver.
So if the gameserver is listening at i.e. 10.0.0.1, then it will tell the connector its at 10.0.0.1
so if u connect to the loginserver, your router will forward the port and it will connect to it like expected.
so u login and the loginserver will give u a list of channels with ip and port.
The problem is that it will send 10.0.0.1 to the client because thats the only IP the connector is aware of

Thanks, now things are very clear!!! So now, ill look of a way to make the connector be aware that it has to send my public ip to the client, so it connects to my router and the router fowards to the gameserver... anyone has an idea of how to make this?

well iam trying to say that it has to be the same like in ep1..
you need an IP of a network you and the others are in ..
the problem with hamachi is: the most centosversions cant handly it so u have to find another solution
I allready found out:
at my home there are like 3 pcs wich have the same ip (cuz of our router) everyone of thoose pcs can connect .. but pc from another network can´t
so u need to simulate that the other pcs are in that network too but i dont get how to do that
