libmysqlclient error

can someone tell me what this means and how to fix it if possible please the error I keep getting is: ./Messenger: error while loading shared libraries: /lib/libmysqlclient.so.12: invalid ELF header

 

 

Ive asked a few good friends of mine but there clueless as well. Thanks for the help in advanced

HI, try out install the lib in question with the command :

 

yum install libmysqlclient.so.12

Okay I have that fixed but now I keep getting a Cannot connect to DB error o.O

Did you configured your newstobm.ini correctly? Do you use password in your MySQL? A lil bit more of info pls

No passwords for anything and yes I have the DB files set to 127.0.0.1 and it wont connect

Okay update, I have tripled checked my firewall, I have checked all IP address and set all database IPs to 127.0.0.1 even tried a new Linux system. Now using Mint Linux 15 Cinn. I still get:  ~/Desktop/server/connector $ ./Connector
Loading Setting File...
2013/06/25 10:07:31 :: SYS_ERR > Connect DB

 

If anyone can help I would really apperciate it thanks

try this : service mysqld start

if its not helping, try this

 

go in terminal and type :

mysql -uroot -p

 

then type :

use newproject_auth

 

then :

source /dirofyoursqlfiles/newproject_auth.sql

 

and the same thing for the other databases.

i posted newproject_auth as an example, you need to put the name of your database... come on, work with me, think a bit... i cant do all the work...

I never changed my files thats what there called I am thinking and I know how to get everything going on a windows server. Just for some reason with linux it its not working. all my files are orignal name and all

 

newproject_data

newproject_db

newproject_db_auth

newproject_post

 

those are my file names

 

okay forgot the db part lmao
