./LoginServer: error while loading shared libraries: libmysqlclient.so.12: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Mmm try yum install libmysqldclient.so.12

Wouldn't it be way easier to just copy it into /usr/lib/ ?

no yum install libmysqldclient.so.12 it will also installed all needed dependencies. Thats the great wolrd of Linux.

Download Mysql-shared-compat from the mysql site :

rpm -i Myaql-shared-compat.x.y....rpm
