For the launcher to update, in version.txt value, must match the latest value from the zip file.

 

The launcher will look on version.zip, and compares the values with the vtm.brn.

If the values are equal, it will not update

If the value is higher, it will download the the zip file with 1 value higher then the vtm.brn, then updates the value from the vrm.brn, with the new value.

And will check versions till it reaches the value from the version.txt.

Your files are *.txt.txt and *.htm.txt

 

If you want to do it my way:

WinXP:

Windows Explorer->Tools->Folder Options->View->(UnCheck)Hide Extensions for known file types

Win7:

Windows Explorer->Organize->Folder Options->View->(UnCheck)Hide Extensions for known file types

 

Or create the files with notepad:

Open Notepad->Write What you have to write in->File->Save as->(Writhe the name of the File in quotes)

I have finally got the launcher up and going right except I was wondering if anyone could help me with why I get a update failure?

Ive solved the problem goes eig easily so you make all the folders in the launcher but created purely dor no update folder thats already eig dan has to run the patcher. no error is 100% you like to help
