- pwesty - 06-25-2023 So last year or so i gave up trying to fix the stupid gcc errors for newer versions of centos 7 + GCC 4.4 works perfect which is version centos 6.10 going to centos 7 gcc gets upgraded to gcc 4.8.5. while you can downgrade to like 4.7 or 4.5 but gcc still breaks LC compiling Today i figured out the magic line to fix it and will be releasing a new version of the compiler guide for NEWER versions of centos 7+ Here is a picture of my work 2 - Nikolee - 07-24-2023 There is no magic line to fix the issue to make it work with never compiler, you have to change more things to make it work properly. Also if you upgrade the compiler version you have to update the boost version too otherwise it makes no sense. - Scura - 08-14-2023 No point to update the compiler if you don't upgrade the dependecies too. Plus if you guys are working on upgrade the compiler, better spend time to totally delete boost, and upgrade the c++ version imo. - Matheus - 10-09-2023 I just dream of the day that it will be possible to compile server and client on Windows... - Veni - 10-10-2023 That already works and has been working since forever. /index.php?/profile/21809-matheus/&do=hovercard" data-mentionid="21809" href="/index.php?/profile/21809-matheus/" rel="">@Matheus - Matheus - 10-10-2023 15 hours ago, Veni said: That already works and has been working since forever. /index.php?/profile/21809-matheus/&do=hovercard" data-mentionid="21809" href="/index.php?/profile/21809-matheus/" rel="">@Matheus i never see this - Scura - 10-10-2023 1 hour ago, Matheus said: i never see this whut ... agree with veni, you can compile on windows... no point but you can ? - Matheus - 10-10-2023 1 hour ago, Scura said: whut ... agree with veni, you can compile on windows... no point but you can ? why not? - Scura - 10-10-2023 1 hour ago, Matheus said: why not? linux is usually a bit more light, you don't have to pay license when buy an host. I've seen very few Windows machines compared to Linux, and the compilation on linux is faster too. You can use dbg for debug purpose instead of visual studio debug ... and i personally prefer work on linux env - Matheus - 10-10-2023 1 hour ago, Scura said: linux is usually a bit more light, you don't have to pay license when buy an host. Currently I must host a Linux machine online for compilation |
