that may work too, but remember to set the user to only work on localhost. In real environments of use it could be a problem xD

btw i use something like this


$ mysql -u root -p
    $ GRANT ALL ON *.* TO 'cashserver'@'localhost' IDENTIFIED BY 'iddqd' WITH GRANT OPTION;
    $ SET PASSWORD FOR 'cashserver'@'localhost' = OLD_PASSWORD('iddqd');
    $ FLUSH PRIVILEGES;

Have you installed the MYSQL-Client ?
