Mob movement

Im currently working on the movement of mobs.

It all goes well, no mobs walk trough walls of fall down the floor like i heard before.

I know in 2005 thats all possible but luckily for me the EP2 client wont let that happen.

 

Sadly there is one downside.

The emu creates a huge cpuload because of the movement and checking when a npc moved last and such.

When i connect 2 clients its requests so much of my pc that the alarm bell inside starts to ring haha.

Will get that sorted i hope. perhaps my method is all wrong.

lol just what we need more cpu usage haha! pft you have to start somewhere to learn Smile

 

Cant wait for 208b with the new cpu fix =D 207b is killing me here ^^

Fixed it already .^^

Cpu load of gameserver stays between 1 and 2% even with 5 clients connected

It looks so much more alive when the mobs are moving.

I think its even possible to make walking npcs haha, sadly none of the npcs have a walking animation

Ah yes but you could make walking mobs as NPCs Wink

 

After looking at the DB I noticed the NPCs & mobs are in the same tables etc so I dont see why you couldnt make a talking NPC use a mob shape & motion Tongue

until you could find something useful to do with moving npcs, im sure its the least important thing to consider at the moment.
